Rotary Shaft Seals / V-Rings
Rotary shaft seals are principally used in mechanical and apparatus engineering as well as in the automotive industry. They consist of an elastomer outer layer with spring-biased sealing lips and a metal brace ring vulcanized to these. The outer layer of the rotary shaft seal provides static sealing against the housing in which it is pressed, while the sealing lip seals dynamically against the rotating shaft.
Range of application: For radial sealing of rotating shafts and axles For sealing spaces with slight differences in pressure.
The basic shapes A, B and C acc. to DIN 3760 are supplied with and without sealing lips in NBR, FKM, silicone, and PTFE.
V-rings are rubber-elastic shaft seals with axial sealing lip. Due to their purely elastomer construction, these V-rings are used for non-pressurized sealing against dirt, splash water, and oil.
These rings are available in standard material NBR and special material FKM.
